HeadWay Enters into Merger Negotiations with PSBC - Update Section

Over the past several months, HeadWay Board of Directors have been approached by PSBC's and PWP's Board of Directors to discuss opportunities to expant collaboration, or potentially merge organizations. After much deliberation of the proposals, a decision has been made to enter into negotiations with the Parkinson's Society of British Columbia (PSBC) about a possible merger.

HeadWay's mission has been to provide care, support and knowledge to anyone affected by Parkinson's. For over three decades, we have proudly upheld that commitment to our clients, who have come to expect a high standard of service from our agency; from free one-on-one consults after diagnosis, to connecting clients and caregivers with peer support groups, to provide tools and workshops that empower our clients to live thier best lives. This unwaivering commitment guided the HeadWay Board's decision.

PSBC is excited about having a bigger presence on the island, and is commited to maintaining the current high standard of service. Additionally, it is the expectation of the HeadWay Board that PSBC will further invest in and expand programs.
